Zafar is well-versed in and keenly focuses on international arbitration and arbitration related litigation. He has deep understanding of various arbitral rules including ICC, ICSID, LCIA, UNCITRAL, SCC, AAA, HKIAC, SIAC and CIETAC rules.

The high-profile commercial and arbitration cases Zafar has worked on include:

  • S.p.A Impregilo v. Islamic Republic of Pakistan (ICSID Case No. ARB/03/3)
  • Bayindar Insaat v. Government of Pakistan (ICSID Case No. ARB/03/29)

Zafar has also extensive knowledge of human rights and employment law. He has dealt with many high-profile human rights cases representing both individuals and British Government.
